China tourism sector recovers

China's tourist arrivals started to resume rising last month to 7.533 million, up 2.13 percent over the same period last year, sources with the National Tourism Administration said, according to Xinhua.
Compared to February 2003, this year China saw an increase in tourist arrivals from Hong Kong, Macao and foreign countries, but not Taiwan.
According to the data, the number of tourists from foreign states, Hong Kong and Macao amounted to 1.1022 million, 4.6579 million and 1.5201 million, up 5.72 percent, 2.05 percent and 5.62 percent respectively compared to the period last year.
