The Internet enters the Risk Index

World IT Report, Apr 8, 2003

Portals, search engines and Internet news sites are since yesterday a component of the Index of Satisfaction of the American Consumers, made by the University of Michigan. The institution includes them in a category called: e-Business.

David Van Amburg, director of the Index, said during a conversation with El Universal that this measurement was going to be made on the last quarter of 1999, but it was suspended by the problems that the "dot com" companies began to face, with the Nasdaq decline.

In that sense, the specialist explains that the economy of services increasingly developed and goes towards a new direction. It is for that reason that it decided to investigate more on the electronic commerce. They want to know towards where it goes, to register it, to see how they change the supplies of information, the news, entertainment, products and the transactions on line. - (WorldITReport.com)
