IDC Expects PC Sales in China to Recover from Decline

International Data Corp. (IDC) has reported that it expects personal computers (PC) sales in China to recover by 2003 from the decline experienced this year.

IDC predicts that PC sales in China will rise by 18% this year, whereas last years growth rate was a higher 22%, according to the People's Daily. In 2001, PC sales in China amounted to 8.8 million units.

IDC stated that PC sales in China are expected to grow to 21.6 million by 2006, reflecting an annual growth rate of 20%.
