Pakistani tele-marketing company launched new satellite

World Tel MECA Pvt Ltd, a Pakistani tele-marketing company on Tuesday launched a new Satellite W5 series on KU Bend system for countrywide Internet users. The project was launched in cooperation with a France-based eutelsat Company.

According to the Daily Times, Mubashir Malik, chief technology officer of Worldtel said the users and Internet service providers (ISPs) could easily receive 1,250 televisions channels and 650 radio stations broadcasting facilities on home-based personal computers.

The telephone connection can also be provided to users by the year 2002, when Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited's (PTCL) monopoly ends, Mubashir Malik. KU Bend would reduce the cost from 15 to 20 percent of the receivers while improving its speed, he claimed. (Worlditreport.com)
