The Development Bank of Singapore (DBS) and Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia are evaluating a recently concluded trial that enabled participants to transfer funds using mobile phones, according to the bank.
Regarded as Asia's first wireless public key infrastructure (WPKI) trial for mobile payments, about 200 users were given specially manufactured dual-chip Nokia 6310 phones.
