Zhongxing Telecom Plans to Spend US$181.2 Million on R&D

Zhongxing Telecom (ZTE), the Chinese telecommunications equipment maker, has announced that it plans to invest over 1.5 billion yuan ($181.2 million) into researching mobile, digital and optical network products, according to the China Securities newspaper.
ZTE is China's largest listed telecom equipment manufacturer and is supported by the central government. ZTE was founded in 1985, and was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1997. ZTE provides switching systems, mobile communication systems, data communication systems, optical transport systems, access equipment, videoconferencing systems, etc. It provides turnkey solutions for setup, refurbishment and optimization of networks. -(World IT Report.com)
