Internet Payment Gateway Launched in Bahrain

Bahrain's Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) opened gateway to e-government (www.BahrainPay.com) in Bahrain with the first integrated Internet payment gateway, the Bahrain Tribune reports.

The new step allows MOCI to serve their customers with increased flexibility, efficiency, and security through MOCI website www.commerce.gov.bh.

Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ali Saleh Al Saleh, said that it would totally revolutionize the entire payment system by using debit or credit cards. The Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) has become the first bank in the Kingdom providing online payment facilities to the BBK customers to renew their Commercial Registrations (CRs) on line by using this state-of-the-art technology. - (World IT Report.com)
