"The Computer Shopper this year will provide the ultimate shopping experience for all those planning to buy IT products with highly attractive bargains on offer from well known manufacturers," said Abdullah T. Qassem, DWTC General Manager Exhibitions, Leasing and Property.
GITEX Computer Shopper's product profile includes PCs, laptops, notebooks, printers, accessories, peripherals, office automation products, telecommunication and security products, audio visual systems, solutions, educational and entertainment software, Internet products, computer games, faxes, modems, communications solution, multimedia, mobile telephones, training programmes, stationery and computer furniture among others.
The event promises to offer visitors a fantastic selection of discounted products and innovative configurations. The exhibition is expected to attract even more visitors than the previous years as consumers flock to take advantage of some of the best deals and bargains the industry has to offer, in the Middle East.
Computer Shopper has recorded a phenomenal growth of 120% over last year's edition with significant growth in gaming, digital imaging and telecommunication technology. Microsoft, Jumbo, Al Futtaim Trading, Emirates Computers, Al Sayegh Bros, BenQ and Jacky's have all increased the size of their participation from last year.
Sony, the world's leading consumer Electronics Company and manufacturer of the premier gaming platform PlayStation will be bringing the 'Middle East PlayStation Experience' to Dubai at the GITEX Computer Shopper.
The 'Middle East PlayStation Experience' involves a set up of an integrated interactive entertainment arena in the same hall as the GITEX Computer Shopper at Airport Expo.
With around 150 PlayStation consoles loaded with the latest software titles, the 'Middle East PlayStation Experience' will be the perfect platform to bring gaming to the masses and give them an opportunity to experience a wide genre of games under one roof. One of the most significant aspects about the Sony PlayStation Arena is that entrance will be free and open to all.
Emirates Computers and Nokia will for the first time in the Middle East present the 'Magic of Technology' at the Shopper. An international illusionist will perform six shows per day highlighting all the features of the latest technology. Each show will be made up of well-known DJ's from Radio and MTV, along with colourful dance acts and fantastic illusions.
