Chinese Ministry of Information Industry grants another nationwide

INTAC International, Inc. on Wednesday announced that Beijing Intac Purun Educational Development Ltd., its joint venture with China Putian Corporation and China's Ministry of Education, has been granted a nationwide content provider license for China by the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry which allows it to offer a wide range of value-added information services over mobile and Internet networks.
Intac Purun, providing Chinese students exclusively with a full- range of career development services over the Internet, using mobile services and through local Career Service Centers, is among the first seven companies in China, including Sina.com and Tom.com, that have passed MII's stringent requirements to receive the nationwide CP license.
The license authorizes Intac Purun to provide and develop comprehensive value-added information services which can be offered over the internet as well as by short messaging services ("SMS") using the mobile networks of all major telecommunication companies in China.
