Brazil was eliminated from competing in the 2004 Olympic soccer tournament with a 1-0 loss to Paraguay in South American qualifying in Vina Del Mar, Chile.

Brazil has won the World Cup a record five times, including the most recent one in 2002.

Brazil has never won the gold medal at the Olympics. The Olympics feature younger players than those used in the World Cup and other major international tournaments.
