BERKELEY -- An elderly Korean woman who police say is disoriented and can't remember her name was found at a Berkeley bus stop Monday morning.
Police said the woman, who is believed to be in her 70s, was at a bus stop at Shattuck and University avenues about 8 a.m. Monday. She had no identification and could not provide police with the name of friends or relatives.
Police called in a Korean translator, who said the woman's name may be something like "Oh Byungae."
In her conversations with the translator, she said she may have been born in April 1925 and may have a son named "Sunsoon Im" or "Sunsoon Lim" who lives in San Francisco, police said.

The woman is about 5 feet tall and 110 pounds with brown/gray hair, they said. She was wearing a lavender pullover and plaid pants when she was found.
"She appears to be well taken care of," said police spokesman Joe Okies. "It seems that someone would be looking for her."
Okies said the woman could be from the East Bay or beyond.
"It's not all that uncommon for elderly people who are disoriented to take the bus to another area far from where they live," he said.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she is undergoing a medical evaluation. Anyone with information about her is asked to call the Berkeley Police Department at 981-5900 or Okies at 981-5752 during normal business hours.
