DALY CITY -- Three pedestrians were injured Wednesday morning when the driver of a green Honda Civic veered onto a sidewalk and struck them, police said.
The Honda driver was traveling west on John Daly Boulevard but apparently lost control of her car around 8:21 a.m. as she attempted a left turn onto the on-ramp to the Interstate 280 freeway. The pedestrians, two men and a woman, were walking to the nearby BART station when they were struck, according to Daly City Police Sgt. Carol Sloane.
None of the three suffered life-threatening injuries, but all were taken to San Francisco General Hospital. One remained hospitalized Wednesday evening with a broken leg, Sloane said, but the other two were treated for their injuries and released.

Alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash, but speed may have been involved, Sloane said. The Honda is also being checked for possible mechanical defects, she said.
The 33-year-old driver, whose name was being withheld Wednesday, was being cooperative and was not cited, Sloane said.
"She was very distraught," Sloane added.
There were numerous witnesses, and police were busy interviewing them Wednesday afternoon.
"From all that we can see now, it looks like an accident -- a very unfortunate accident," Sloane said.
