Suspicious device found on roadway near SFO Suspicious device found

SFO -- Police responded to the San Francisco International Airport Saturday after a suspicious device was found on a roadway near the airport.
A patrolling San Francisco police officer spotted the device around 10:25 a.m. on the median strip of North McDonnell Road between South Link and North Link roads.
North McDonnell Road was closed to traffic around 11:43 a.m. for about two minutes while police inspected the device, which was rendered safe by members of the San Francisco Police Department's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit.
The San Francisco Police Department, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, FBI representatives and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the incident, airport officials report.
