Man critical after train hits him

OAKLAND -- An unidentified man, who was struck by an Amtrak train Wednesday evening in East Oakland, was in critical condition at a local hospital with broken bones and possible internal injuries.

The accident happened at 7:54 p.m. on the tracks between High Street and Coliseum Way, the Oakland Fire Department said.
