Acupuncture for fertility

I'M AN ACUPUNCTURIST specializing in fertility and pregnancy. I wanted to thank you for writing about your experience with fertility acupuncture (Candace Murphy, Jan. 28) (even though you felt like the "Hellraiser" guy!).

More women are turning to Eastern medicine for help with fertility, and it's great that you got the word out. Most of my patients are like you -- they would never think of having acupuncture, but they are willing to try everything to get pregnant. Often they walk in the door fearful that I am going to perform some sort of voodoo on them. I hope your experience with fertility acupuncture is a positive one. A good book on the topic is "The Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis. She gives details about Chinese medicine for fertility, and her dietary guidelines and self-help techniques are very thorough.
