Borderline criminal
0 Comments | Oakland Tribune, Dec 26, 2007
I OPPOSE the NFL's tactic of trying to get cable companies to carry the NFL Network and charge all cable customers for this so- called feature.
A majority of cable subscribers do not want this channel, which is why they do not pay for it. It is borderline criminal that the NFL is showing NFL games on its network, forcing those that are casually interested in football to miss these games.
This sounds like a monopoly (which the NFL is) in badgering companies to force them to take their product.
What we really need is a la cart cable TV. And the NFL needs to stop these exclusive deals with satellite companies and their own network and just put the games on normal broadcast channels.
