Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's popular "Science on Saturday," a free lecture series, will begin this Saturday and run through March 8.
The lectures and demonstrations are targeted at middle and high school students, but are open to everyone. Programs will be presented twice each Saturday, at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., at the Bankhead Theater, 2400 First St., in Livermore.
The presentations are collaborations by lab scientists and local high school science teachers, and are sponsored by the lab's Science Education Program.
Teachers attending the programs will receive a copy of the PowerPoint slides used in the lecture, and a DVD video of the talk.
