Davion Berry, guard

The Farmers fell on a last-second tip-in to Las Lomas but advanced to NorCals, where they lost to nationally ranked Archbishop Mitty in the semifinals.

The UC Santa Barbara-bound Brew consistently lit up the stat sheet while guiding the Panthers to the Division IV state title game. He averaged over 18 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals per game and hit the big 3-pointer that keyed a closing 15-2 run in the NorCal finals victory over Modesto Christian.

Damian Lillard, guard

School: Oakland

Year: Senior

The Weber State-bound Lillard was easily one of the area's top playmakers. He finished second in the Oakland Athletic League with 18.8 points per game and 18 3-pointers and led the Wildcats to the NorCal semifinals against De La Salle. After a last-second loss to McClymonds in the regular season, he guaranteed a rematch and helped push his team into the OAL finals.

Damon Powell, forward

School: McClymonds

Year: Junior

If you didn't get a chance to see the ultra-athletic Powell, you missed out. The springy 6-5 forward has a flair for excitement and routinely electrified the state champion Warriors with his ferocious dunks. He led Mack in scoring at 16.1 points per game, and his early dunk in the state finals set the tone as he scored 18 points in the victory over Dominguez-Compton.

Jonathon Williams, guard/forward

School: Kennedy-Rich.

Year: Senior

The 6-7 guard/forward made a big difference in his one year with the Eagles, helping Kennedy to 14 straight wins to start the year -- the best start in school history. He averaged a double-double on the season, scoring 28.2 points and grabbing 10.3 rebounds while dishing out 4.6 assists, and was in double figures in scoring in every game.
