New Porsches: Four new 2009 Porsche 911 models go on sale in September in North America: the 911 Carrera Coupe, 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 911 Carrera S Coupe, and 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. All offer a higher level of performance thanks to their all-new flat- six engines displacing 3.6- and 3.8-liters, respectively. And for the first time in a Porsche sports car, engines utilize direct fuel injection and can be coupled with the new optional seven-speed double-clutch gearbox.

How to tow: The producers of the RV Education 101 series of training DVDs (www.rveducation101.com) have released two DVDs that address a seemingly complex part of RV use: Towing. The 56-minute "Trailer Towing & Backing" covers both travel and fifth-wheel trailers, and the 51-minute "Towing Behind your Motorhome" covers dinghy towing in all its configurations. From making a proper match up between tow vehicle and trailer or dinghy car, to adjusting an equalizing hitch or backing safely into a campsite, these DVDs cover a lot of valuable ground. Rebate season: Big auto rebates to reflect a well-reported steep drop in sales for trucks and SUVs. IntelliChoice shows that rebates can also be found on smaller and more fuel efficient vehicles. "Our best deals of this month (June) are a clear indication that large vehicles, especially SUVs and trucks are in crisis mode," said James Bell, publisher and editor of IntelliChoice.com.
