CHICKERING FAMILY PHOTO
Hungarian Transcript
CONCORD RESIDENTS Ethan and Ruth Chickering took a riverboat cruise on the Danube River from Vienna, Austria, to the Black Sea during 20 days in May. Along the way, they stopped at the small village of Nezmely, Hungary, where they tasted wines, helped in the making of strudel, enjoyed a community-hosted lunch and shared the community news in the Concord Transcript with the lord mayor, center, of the village. The couple said the cruise gave them a close- up view of post-communist Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania.
Going out of town on business or vacation, for a week or just a day? Whether heading for Truckee, Tennessee or Tahiti, remember to pack the Transcript to keep up with the news of the community, and then show your neighbors where you have been. Send your photo (no cell phone images) and information to Transcript on the Road, c/o Concord Transcript, 2640 Shadelands Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94598, or e-mail in .jpg format to transcript@bayareanewsgroup.com.
