PUG RESCUE

PUG RESCUE

"MINKA," a 5-year-old fawn female pug, is very sweet, very active but has had too many pups for her age and needs TLC. She has some food aggression and toy resource guarding, and would prefer to be the only pet but would be OK with one younger dog to play with. To adopt Minka, call Pug Rescue (PROS) at 925-974-PUGS (925-974-7847), visit www.pugpros.org or come to the adoption fair 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 19, at Concord Pet Food Express, 785 Oak Grove Road (Treat Boulevard at Oak Grove).

MUSH

MALAMUTE RESCUE

"THUMPER" is a 5-month-old, female puppy who is a mix of Alaskan malamute with probably Siberian husky/German shepherd. She is housebroken and knows "sit" and "down" commands. She is calm, a bit on the shy side but is a quick learner who responds well to commands and corrections, like her brother Sharky who is also available. To adopt Thumper (or Sharky), contact spiritofashadow@aol.com or MUSH (Malamutes Unwanted Seeking Homes) at 800-399-8155; or visit www.ncama.org/Dogs-Available.htm.
