May --- 9 Centennial League tourney at Western Hills.

Highland Park

Coach --- Mike Brinsko.

Key returnees --- Gared Hill, sr., Stephen Perkins, jr., Josh Bailey, so.

Outlook --- "Again, the Scots will have an eager, hard-working corps of golfers who will improve meet to meet but who will probably not be competitive enough to challenge for a first- or second-place showing in any of our meets," Brinsko said. However, he added, the Scots will "enjoy participation for love of the game."

April --- 3 Shawnee Heights Invitational at Lake Shawnee; 6 Topeka High Invitational at Western Hills; 10 Highland Park Invitational at Lake Shawnee; 17 Washburn Rural Invitational at Lake Shawnee; 27 City meet at Shawnee Country Club.

May --- 4 Junction City Invitational; 9 Centennial League tourney at Western Hills; 10 Lawrence Invitational.

Seaman

Coach --- Dennis Switzky.

Key returnees --- Mike Malloy, so., Reid Hash, so., Justin Palace, jr., Jerrad Blake, sr.

Outlook --- "All varsity golfers return from last year and hope to be much improved," Switzky said.

Shawnee Heights

Coach --- Lynn Riney.

Key returnees --- Jim Kilmartin, sr., Gary Woodland, so., Jason Robbins, so., Mike Fuster, so.

Top newcomers --- Josh Inkes, so., Cole Harper, fr.

Outlook --- Heights' roster is young, but the T-Birds boast a top- shelf player in Woodland, who won the city, regional and league titles as a freshman. Heights also boasts state qualifiers in Kilmartin and Robbins. "Good opportunity for younger players to step up and play varsity level quickly," Riney said. "I think we will be a respectable team by regional time."

SCHEDULE

April --- 5 Blue Valley North Invitational; 10 Manhattan Invitational; 18 Salina Central at Shawnee Country Club; 27 City meet at Shawnee Country Club; 28 Hutchinson Invitational.

May --- 1 Topeka West tourney at Topeka Country Club; 4 Junction City Invitational; 9 Centennial League tourney at Western Hills; 10 Lawrence Invitational.

Topeka High

Coach --- Frank Walton

Key returnees --- Charlie Cooper, jr., Ryan Kinder, jr., Kevin Mechtley, so., Mark Rosen, sr., Richard Haynes, sr.

Outlook --- "We are looking to be competitive this year," Walton said. "Our kids have worked on their games all last summer."
