- Parenting 2000: Safety on the Road and at Home, a program sponsored by the Birthplace at Stormont-Vail Regional HealthCenter that provides home safety and car-seat safety tips, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Pozez Education Center, 1505 S.W. 8th. - Boot Camp for New Dads, workshop for expectant fathers taught by experienced fathers, 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the NewLife Center, classroom 1, second floor, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Topics include forming a new family, the changing role of fathers, and the transition from mate to parent. Dads-to-be will get hands-on practice in baby care skills with guidance by veteran dads, who bring their babies to class. Free. For information or to register, call 295-8333.

- Infant and child CPR --- 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 26 at St. Francis Hospital, NewLife Center, classroom 2. Instructors are certified through the American Heart Association. Free. Registration required, call 295-8333.
- Parent/Child Playgroup --- For parents and children from birth to age 2 to give the children socialization skills, 1 to 2 p.m. each Thursday at Ronald McDonald House, 825 S.W. Buchanan. Certified parent educators lead storytelling, fingerplay and skill-building activities for parent and child. Sponsored by St. Francis Hospital, Parents As Teachers and Ronald McDonald House. Free. - Parenting 2000: Tuesday Morning Programs for Families --- For parents and children from birth through age 5, 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 6130 S.W. 17th. Topic: "Children and Money" on allowances, chores, responsibilities and savings. Free. Information: 354-5225.
- Teen Childbirth Education--- A six-week series of classes for expectant teens offered by St. Francis Hospital. Taught by certified nurses from the NewLife Center, the class covers basic pregnancy education, labor support, what to expect after the baby arrives and helps teens formulate a parenting plan.
