- Price hired at Ginny's --- Ginny's Full Service Salon, 4004 S.W. 6th, has hired Angie Price as a cosmetologist.
Price specializes in family haircuts, permanents, color, wax, updos and facials. She was formerly manager of Snip 'N Clip. She is a 1999 graduate of American Academy of Hair Design and Topeka.
- Leising opens office --- Thomas J. Leising recently opened a disability advocate office for Topekans and those within a 100-mile radius of Topeka.
Leising can provide representation for those seeking Social Security disability and SSI benefits, as well as for those receiving benefits whose claims are being reviewed and for those experiencing overpayment problems. He has more than 20 years of experience in representing Social Security disability and SSI claimants and has lived in Topeka since 1976. He is a graduate of Washburn University School of Law and is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives.

- TCF hires Meyer --- Kristine Meyer has been hired as the first program director of the Topeka Community Foundation.
Meyer will manage the competitive grants process and coordinate program initiatives for the foundation.
She earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Washburn University and comes to the foundation with experience in both nonprofit management and small business administration. She was most recently with the firm McGill, Gaches & Associates.
Meyer and her husband, Mike Donnelly, live in Topeka.
The TCF is made up of more than 160 charitable funds created by individuals, families, businesses, civic organizations and nonprofit organizations.
- Capper hires two --- Donna Esser and Darlene Strunk recently joined the staff of The Capper Foundation.
Esser joined the foundation as the accounting manager. She comes to The Capper Foundation from the American Red Cross, where she was the administrative director. She also has worked as the Meals on Wheels accountant. In her position as the accounting manager at the foundation, Esser processes payroll, tracks employee benefits and performs other accounting responsibilities. She has a bachelor's degree from Washburn University.
Esser lives in Topeka and has three children. She is a member of Kiwanis and volunteers at Meals on Wheels.
Strunk joined the foundation as the intake coordinator. She is responsible for the foundation's referral process and centralized intake system. The intake area maximizes the opportunities for consumers and their families to gain access to the organization's programs and services. Strunk has worked for the Kansas Children's Service League, Menninger and Electronic Data Systems.
She lives in Topeka and has a son and a stepdaughter.
- McPeak joins Harris optometry practice --- Dr. Eric McPeak has joined the optometry practice of Dr. Larry E. Harris, 403 W. Lyman Road.
McPeak is a 1999 graduate of Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Okla. He recently completed an optometric residency in primary care at Fayetteville Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
