A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Roberts-Blue- Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Mr. Hubert was cremated. A private family inurnment will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Hand in Hand Hospice or the Kansas City Heart Line Support Group in care of the funeral home.

Edna Killion

GARDNER --- Edna May Simons Killion, 97, Gardner, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2000, at an Olathe medical center.

Mrs. Killion was a nurses aide for 10 years at Reece Hospital in Gardner. She also had worked at the Hercules Powder Plant.

She was born April 13, 1903, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Grant U. and Mary Odell Post Simons. She moved from McClelland, Iowa, to Gardner in 1943.

Mrs. Killion was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Gardner.

She married Harry W. Killion on June 5, 1922, in Bentley, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1955. Two sons, Harry Orin Killion and Donald Ray Killion, also preceded her in death, as well as three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Walters, Olathe, and Betty Locke and Rose Fargo, both of Gardner; a sister, Stella Crow, Topeka; two brothers, Charles Simons, Rapid City, S.D., and Raymond Clouse Simons, Valley Falls; 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Bruce Funeral Home in Gardner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Maria Little

LAWRENCE --- Maria "Dee" Little, 49, Lawrence, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at a Lawrence hospital.

Mrs. Little was a dietary worker for Brandon Woods Retirement Community in Lawrence, and prior to that she worked as a food service employee at Oliver Hall at the University of Kansas.

She was born Feb. 11, 1951, in Lawrence, the daughter of Samuel E. and Florene White Logan. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School.

She married Earnest Little on April 23, 1982, in Lawrence. He survives.

Other survivors include her parents, Samuel E. Logan and Florene Fowler, both of Lawrence; six daughters, Tonya Engle, Blue Springs, Mo., Andrea Edwards, Lisa Logan and Kamari Logan, all of Lawrence, Sara Little and Ernestine Little, both of the home; two sons, Stephen Logan, Atlanta, Ga., and Brett Logan, Lawrence; three brothers, Samuel Logan, Hayward, Calif., Mark Logan, Topeka, and Scott Logan, Lawrence; three sisters, Debra Tolbert and Andrea Logan, both of Lawrence, and Lisa Logan, Olathe; and 16 grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Mrs. Little will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dee Little Children's Education Fund and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
