Christine Wright and Clayton E. Ellis exchanged marriage vows Dec. 16, 2000, at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Topeka.
The Rev. John Stoneking officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Connie Lowrey and David Wright, both of Topeka, and the granddaughter of Dorothy Rush and Rosa Wright, both of Topeka, and the late Albert E. Wright.
Parents of the bridegroom are Dwight and Carla McKinnon of Topeka. He is the grandson of Ammie Baugh of Topeka and the late Eddie Baugh.
Bobbie Lowrey was matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Kymberly White and Gina Ellis.
Nathan Purling was best man. The groomsmen were Andrew Caviness and Phillip Money.
Chelsea Wright was the flower girl, and Aaron Wright was the ring bearer. Ushers were Michael Wright and Brandon Hennessee. Jeanne Gish was the organist.
A reception followed at the church.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing at Emporia State University. She is employed in pediatrics at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center as a licensed practical nurse.
The groom also is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School. He is a police officer with the Osage City Police Department.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Denver. They live in Osage City.

Jeanne Anne Poggio and Jason Drew Shamburg, both of Austin, Texas, were united in marriage Nov. 25, 2000, at St. John's the Evangelist Church in Lawrence with the Rev. James Tobin officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John and Anne Poggio, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Ed and Barb Shamburg, Topeka.
Jennifer Myers and Andee Bell were matrons of honor. Donna Christensen, Quincy Adams and Rebecca Robinson were the bridesmaids.
Dr. Steffen Shamburg was best man. Josh Whitsell, Shad Metcalf, Greg Grafel and Kent Welch were the groomsmen.
The greeters were Jama Crady, Jennifer McGrath and Katie McGrath. Mark Poggio and Andrew Poggio were ushers.
A reception was held at the Alvamar Country Club.
The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and The University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is employed by the Leander Independent School District in Cedar Park, Texas, where she teaches third grade at Cypress Elementary School.
The groom is a graduate of Shawnee Heights High School and Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in animal science and industry. He is employed by Texas Wrecker Sales Inc. as regional sales manager for southern and central Texas.
The couple own Shamrock Lawn and Landscape. They live in Austin, Texas.

The Brickyard Barn Inn was the setting for the New Year's Eve wedding of Tiffany Hall Anderson and Daniel Robert Mauer on Dec. 31, 2000.
Officiating at the 8 p.m. ceremony was the Rev. J. Phillip Esah.
The newlyweds' parents are Dennis and Wendy Hall of St. Louis and Bob and Carolyn Mauer of Topeka.
The bride's attendants were Tiffany Lovell McCurdy, Wichita, and Paige Anderson and Brooke Anderson, daughters of the bride, and Alexandria Mauer, daughter of the groom.
Brian Mauer, Lenexa, was best man.
A New Year's Eve reception followed at the Brickyard Barn Inn.
The bride is the branch manager at Westaff in Topeka.
The groom is employed by the Kansas Family Partnership as a statewide networker.
After a honeymoon trip to South Miami Beach and the Florida Keys, the newlyweds reside in Topeka.

Karen L. Brzezinski and Devin P. Sutherland were united in marriage in a 1 p.m. service Sept. 30, 2000, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Cedar, Mich.
Deacon John Moeggenberg officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Nancy Brzezinski of Stevensville, Mich.
The bridegroom is the son of Max and Penny Sutherland of Topeka. He is the grandson of John and Maxine Sutherland, Topeka, and Paul and Betty Dutoit, Sun City West, Ariz.
Amy Irish was matron of honor, and Angie Spindler was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Heather Henderson, Megan Dickel, Amy Reich, Kate Renberg and Carol Wang.
Fred Pfeiffer was best man. The groomsmen were Darin Sutherland, Chris Brzezinski, Colby Fries, Jeff Hiestand and Rick Evans.
Brittney Irish was the flower girl and also carried the wedding rings. The readers were Marge Bockheim, aunt of the bride, and Mary Grossenkemper. The master and mistresses of ceremonies were Tim and Theresa Bockheim, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Janet Brzezinski, aunt of the bride.
Bonnie Bembeneck, cousin of the bride, was at the guest book. The program attendant was Klinton Sutherland, nephew of the groom. Kim McCarthy, cousin of the bride, was the gift attendant. Bubble liquid was given to the guests by Krista and Kelsey Sutherland, nieces of the groom.
Music was provided by the Northwind Trio.
