Trained dogs up for adoption

NORTH TOPEKA --- Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N.W. Rochester Road, has six "blue ribbon" dogs available for adoption. The dogs have completed an eight-week obedience training course at the women's correctional facility.
The dogs available include:
- Cookie, a 3-year-old male rottweiler mix.
- Oreo, an 8-month-old female Australian shepherd.
- Shep, a 1-year-old male sheepdog mix.
- Sally, a 1-year-old female collie mix.
- Honey, a 1-year-old female setter mix.
- Sissee, 1 5-month-old female heeler mix.
The kennels are open from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
