Philip and Rhonda L. Perry of Oskaloosa announce the engagement of their daughter, Nickie Louise of Kansas City, Kan., to Jayson Gale, also of Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Gale is the son of Frank and Mary Gale of Colona, Ill.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Oskaloosa High School. She is in her fifth year of an advanced six-year bachelor's degree/doctor of dental surgery degree program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is studying to become a dentist.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduated of United Township High School in East Moline, Ill., and Xavier University at Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in communications. He is pursuing a master's degree in sports management at UMKC.
The couple are planning a May 25, 2002, wedding in Kansas City.
