Perry promoted --- Aaron Perry will assume the responsibilities of second shift desktop supervisor at Jostens Printing and Publishing, 4000 SE Adams. Perry has served as a management trainee and desktop supervisor since joining the organization in 2000. He earned a bachelor's degree in technology administration from Washburn University and will be receiving his MBA. from Washburn University in May 2002.
He currently resides in Topeka with his wife, Kelly.
Bartlett opens private practice --- Alice Brand Bartlett has opened an independent private practice specializing in helping adults and adolescents negotiate life transitions and change lifelong patterns.
Bartlett is certified in psychoanalysis by the Board of Professional Standards of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Bartlett is also a faculty member with the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. She previously was the Edward Greenwood professor and associate dean in the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry. In addition to teaching and supervising individual and group psychotherapy, she provided consulting to the C.F. Menninger Memorial Hospital Trauma Recovery Program. She was a therapist at the Menninger Clinic for more than 15 years.
Bartlett is a nationally known lecturer on professional identity development and mentoring, gender issues and the impact of trauma. She is president of the Topeka Psychoanalytic Society and serves on the international Board of Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing.

Uhle joins Tastefully Simple --- Debe Uhl has become became a consultant for Tastefully Simple, a national direct sales company based in Alexandria, Minn. As a consultant, Uhl conducts in-home presentations of convenience-driven gourmet foods. Guests receive meal ideas, recipes and entertainment suggestions.

Fitness center opens downtown --- Get Fit Studio has opened in downtown Topeka, one of several new businesses using incentive grant money approved by the city of Topeka last year for the purpose of recruiting dining, entertainment and specialty retail establishments to downtown Topeka.
Emerson Stamps and Mike Hernandez decided downtown was the place to open a fitness studio after noticing the number of walkers in downtown during work breaks and over the noon hour.
Get Fit Studio, 720 S. Kansas Ave., offers fitness training by appointment and is open before, during and after work. Nutritional counseling, sports performance training and massage therapy are also available.
Trent joins AM/PM --- Kevin Trent has joined AM/PM PC services staff as an advanced service and support coordinator. AM/PM provides support of networks and PCs to the Lawrence, Topeka, and Kansas City markets 24 hours a day. Trent has an emphasis in Windows NT, Windows 2000, advanced proprietary and standard application software, PCs and Microsoft
Exchange. He previously worked as a senior network engineer for a Microsoft Certified Solution provider in the Kansas City area.

Women's consignment store opens --- Lisa Miller recently opened The Clothing Co. in Burlingame South Shopping Center. The Clothing Co. offers consignment women's clothing sizes 14 and up, along with accessories such as purses and jewelry.
Store hours are 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Silver Lake Bank adds three --- Joyce Tuttle, Amy Cook and Angie Voigt have joined the staff of Silver Lake Bank to staff the branch at S.W 21st and Urish Road that is to open in late summer. Silver Lake Bank Southwest will offer a full array of banking products and services.
Tuttle will be the manager of the location. She has more than 20 years of consumer banking experience, including branch management, consumer lending, IRAs, deposit accounts and customer service.
Cook will be head teller and customer service representative. She was with the State Bank of Meriden for three years and served in many capacities, including customer service representative. Her experience includes all aspects of consumer deposit services.
Voigt has been hired as a teller. She has over 15 years of banking experience in consumer banking. Most recently she was customer service manager at another Topeka bank. She also has experience selling various types of consumer banking products.
