She married Glen V. Kuhlmeier on April 27, 1974, in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Catherine Elizabeth Sue Kuhlmeier and Glenda Louise Kuhlmeier, both at home; two sons, Robert Kuhlmeier, Baton Rouge, La., and Steven Kuhlmeier, Roanoke, Va.; her mother, Mary Carrington, Harveyville; a brother, David Carrington, Topeka; and three grandchildren.
Burial with military graveside services conducted by an honor guard from Whiteman Air Force Base will be in Wilmington Cemetery south of Harveyville. Mrs. Kuhlmeier will lie in state from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Carey Funeral Home in Burlingame and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice and sent in care of the funeral home.
Henry Martinek
ROSSVILLE --- Henry R. Martinek, 97, Rossville, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Martinek farmed and later worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and at the dehydrator plant in Rossville. He worked at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka from 1952 until he retired in 1971.
He was born Feb. 14, 1905, near Rossville, the son of Vincent and Agnes Simecka Martinek. He was raised in the Rossville community and attended Victor 101 School.
Mr. Martinek was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville.
He married Regina Marie Ryan on June 26, 1929, in St. Marys. She died on July 3, 1989. Mr. Martinek also was preceded in death by a daughter, Agnes White, on Jan. 8, 1998, a son, Henry R. Martinek Jr., in 1941, and a granddaughter, Kathy Brinkman, on Oct. 21, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Schumaker, St. Marys, and Jo Copeland, Rossville; a son, Vincent Martinek, Topeka; a sister, Helen Macha, Rossville; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys. Mr. Martinek will lie in state after 5 p.m. today at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville and sent in care of the funeral home.
Mary Ann Moherman
WELLSVILLE --- Mary Ann Moherman, 72, Wellsville, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at a Topeka nursing home.
Mrs. Moherman was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Ottawa and later was a dental assistant for 12 years for Dr. Charles Rogers in Wellsville.
She was born June 2, 1930, in Britton, S.D., the daughter of Ross and Ethel Hanson Morrow. She was raised in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1949.
Mrs. Moherman was a member of the Wellsville United Methodist Church, the Kansas Women's Golf Association and the Ottawa Women's Golf Association.
She married Scott Moherman on June 29, 1952, in Wellsville. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Kevin Moherman, Wellsville; a daughter, Roxanne Pegram, Silver Lake; a sister, Gloria Leecy, Ottawa; two brothers, Kenneth Morrow, Ottawa, and Richard Morrow, Kansas City, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
