Bob Bunker
Thomas Bugg
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church for Thomas Lee "Buddy" Bugg, 79, Topeka. He died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at a Topeka hospice.
Mr. Bugg was a nurse's assistant at Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Haynesville, La., the son of Walter Lee Bugg and Mattie C. Sturgis. He attended Topeka Public Schools and lived of most his life in Topeka.
Mr. Bugg was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of the Midwest Elks Lodge.
He married Frances Monreal, who preceded him in death. He married Juanita Guerrero-Bugg on Dec. 7, 1962, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Charles Martin and Thomas David Bugg, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Stephen Daniel Bugg, Topeka; two daughters, Maria Spears, Bolingbrook, Ill., and Teresa Bugg-Smith, Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, Robert Bugg, Verdell Bugg, Larry Bugg and Harry Bugg, all of Topeka; five sisters, Doris Cohen, Cincinnati, Stella Miller, Mary L. Long and Mildred Banks, all of Topeka, and Ida Pride, Tacoma, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren.
Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Bob Bunker
Robert "Bob" Henry Bunker, 63, Topeka, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Bunker was an outside foreman at the Gooch Feed Co. Research Farm in Manhattan from 1961 to 1966. He was an associate editor for the Kansas Farmer Magazine in Topeka from 1966 to 1983. He also had been an instructor at the Topeka Association for Retarded Citizens since 1985. He served in the Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958 with the Third Battalion, First Marines Division.
He was born Nov. 28, 1938, in Herington, the son of James Henry and Juanita Ilene Renner Bunker. His great-great-grandfather, Eng Bunker, was a Siamese twin. He graduated from La Airosa High School in Amarillo, Texas, in 1956. He earned a degree in animal husbandry from Kansas State University in 1965.
He married L. Lynn Strobel in 1960. They divorced. He married Lillian Lehman on April 10, 1992, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include three children, Mark H. Bunker and Cindy L. Bunker, both of Overland Park, and Max H. Bunker, Topeka; and a brother, John H. Bunker, Olathe.
Mr. Bunker was cremated. A memorial service was private. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Shirley Grimes
Shirley J. Grimes, 78, Topeka, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Grimes was an office clerk for Kansas Vital Statistics for 17 years.
She was born May 24, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Ted and Enid Fideli Fiske. She moved to Topeka in 1968.
Mrs. Grimes was a member of Northland Christian Church.
She married Samuel H. Grimes on June 4, 1944, in Kansas City, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Pamela J. Hodge and Janine I. DeBacker, both of Topeka; a son, Richard S. Grimes, Mayetta; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery. Mrs. Grimes will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at the mortuary, where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
Contributions may be made to the Shirley J. Grimes Memorial and sent to 504 N.W. 86th, Topeka, 66617.
Curtis Jacobson
Curtis O. Jacobson, 82, Topeka, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at a Topeka hospice house.
Mr. Jacobson was a claims attorney for Farm Bureau Insurance Co. in Manhattan. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born May 26, 1920, in Canton, Minn., the son of Otto E. and Blanche Bremseth Jacobson. He graduated from Canton High School and earned a bachelor's degree in 1942 from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He received a law degree from Washburn University in 1964. He moved to Topeka in 1997.
He married Ruth Kalnes in 1945. She died in 1968. He married Joan Robinson in 1971. She died in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Kristie K. Evans, Hutchinson, and Kari Jacobson, Denver; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Jacobson was cremated. No services are scheduled. Inurnment will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth.
Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Anthony Martinez
Anthony R. Martinez, 84, Topeka, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
Services will be announced by Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
Jack Rickson
John "Jack" Joseph Rickson, 79, Topeka, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at a Topeka care facility.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Entombment will be at Mount Hope Mausoleum. Mr. Rickson will lie in state after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m.
