Bill Barrons
A.D. "Bill" Barrons, 84, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at a Topeka hospital.
Services will be announced by Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
David Hilliard
Graveside inurnment services will be at 3 p.m. today at Topeka Cemetery for David Hilliard, 71, formerly of Topeka. He died Feb. 25, 2003, in Milwaukee.
Relatives and friends will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Colonial Park Town House Club House, 2557 S.E. Golden.
Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Rose Hummer
A. Rose Hummer, 85, Topeka, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at a Topeka retirement home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1918, in Topeka, to Joseph Franklin and Nettie Lucy Kidder Martz. She was a riveter at the Lockheed Aircraft plant in California during World War II. She worked at the John Morrell Packing Plant in Topeka and later in the packaging division for the Fleming Co. for 22 years before retiring.
She was a former member of Order of Eastern Star and Ladies of the Shrine and a life member of auxiliaries to North Post No. 400 of the American Legion and Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She married Joseph Ray Hopper on Oct. 28, 1939, in Oskaloosa. He died Nov. 13, 1968. She married Wilbert George Herman on Feb. 27, 1970, in Topeka. He died Dec. 8, 1992. She married George B. Hummer on March 23, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Diana Schultz, Topeka; three granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Rochester Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Atria Hearthstone West, 3515 S.W. 6th. Mrs. Hummer will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospitals and sent in care of Arab Shrine, 1305 S. Kansas Ave., 66612; or the Brody Lolley College Education Fund and sent in care of Kaw Valley Bank and Trust, P.O. Box 8009, 66608.
Lunedda Johnson
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel for Lunedda Marie Johnson, 48, Topeka. She died Saturday, March 22, 2003, in Topeka.
Mrs. Johnson had worked for the Army and Air Force Post Exchange and was an assistant manager for Fashion Bug Clothing Store.
She was born June 15, 1954, in Topeka, to Charles Henrie and Zonita Clemons. She had moved away from Topeka and returned again in 1991.
Mrs. Johnson was a marching band sponsor and a former Brownie Scout leader. She was member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
She married David Johnson in July 1974 in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Xewkija Johnson, Emporia; her father, Charles Henrie, Watkin, Minn.; her mother, Zonita Clemons, Topeka; six brothers, Charles Henrie Jr., Ennis, Texas, Mark Reis Henrie, Brownsburg, Ind., Harold Clemons, Edward Clemons Sr. and Brian Clemons, all of Topeka, and Blaine Clemons, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Charm Johnson, Junedda Williams and Jawanda Doak, all of Topeka; her grandmother, Lollene Henrie, Topeka; and a grandson.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson will lie in state after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
George Mabon Jr.
George Mabon Jr., 90, Topeka, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at a Topeka nursing home.
Mr. Mabon had worked for Morrill's and retired from Ohse Meats, where he had worked as a meat packer.
He was born Oct. 5, 1912, in Osage County, to George Mabon Sr. and Katherine Hall Mabon. He was a lifelong Topeka resident.
Mr. Mabon was a member of Grace Bible Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge.
He married Jessie O. Robinson on April 23, 1945, in Lawrence. She died on Jan. 24, 2001.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Mabon, Wakarusa; three stepdaughters, Sharon Johnson, Fairfax, Va., Jean Anticoli, Clarksville, Md., and April "Velma" Mills, Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Mabon will lie in state at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Thursday.

Bob Manely
Robert "Bob" M. Manely, 82, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at a Topeka care facility.
Mr. Manely had worked for many years in the airline industry before he retired from Pan Am Airlines. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was born May 19, 1920, in Lebanon, to Robert and Eva Bailey Manely. He had lived in Burlingame, Calif., for many years and in Topeka prior to World War II. He moved back to Topeka in 1994.
He married Marilyn Quinn in 1950. She died in April 1993. Mr. Manely also was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Manely, in June 2002.
Survivors include a companion, Betty L. Cole, Topeka; two sons, Robert S. Manely, Bakersfield, Calif., and Michael Manely, San Mateo, Calif.; a half brother, Jay Manely, Lebanon; a stepbrother, Kenneth Brogdon, Raytown, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
