Heritage Bank opens on Wanamaker

The new Heritage Bank opened its doors Monday and began accepting customers for deposit and loan accounts.
The bank, at 3024 S.W. Wanamaker, is headquartered in a temporary building adjacent to the future site of a three-story office building that will serve as its permanent home. Construction is to begin this summer.
Heritage Bank is owned by a group of 75 individual investors from the Topeka area. Bank officers include Greg Fankhauser, chief executive officer; Carl R. Carlson, president; and Valerie Nelson, vice president, lending.
Available accounts include personal and business checking and loan accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts and certificates of deposit. Additional services include a drive-up teller window, ATM/ debit cards and fund transfers.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the drive- up window will be open 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
