Michael Andrews
LAWRENCE --- Michael David "Mike" Andrews 51, Lawrence, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Andrews had worked for many years as a cable television installer for Day Cable Co.
He was medically disabled in an automobile accident in 1989.
He served in the Army from 1970 to 1972.
He was born April 8, 1952, in Topeka, to Clarence Dean Andrews and Dorothy Arlene Dick.
He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Dorothy A. and Ralph E. Cowley.
He graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1970.
Mr. Andrews was a member of Ozawkie United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Ralph E. and Dorothy A. Cowley, Topeka; and four sisters, Linda Frye, Phoenix, Dianna Andrews, Topeka, Cindy Cowley, Olathe, and Dana DeMarco, Wichita.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Nortonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Douglas County Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa, 66066.
Marvin Boyce
WELLSVILLE --- Marvin Russell Boyce, 57, Wellsville, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at an Olathe care center from cardiac and pulmonary failure.
Mr. Boyce worked for the city of Osage City and did farm work. He also was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He worked for the state of Kansas in road maintenance and was employed by the Johnson County Public Works Department in Olathe at the time of his death.
He was born Oct. 8, 1945, near Osage City, to Harvey and Ora Webster Boyce. He was raised in Burlingame and graduated from Burlingame High School in 1963.
Mr. Boyce was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He married Betty Ormsby on May 22, 1964. She died Feb. 3, 1983. He married Kay Coffman on Oct. 29, 1988, in Lawrence. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Lowell Boyce, Osage City, and Kevin Boyce, Burlington; four daughters, Robin Wood, Lebo, Frankie Beyer, Prairie Village, Charlotte Kester, at home, and Amber Rayl, Wellsville; his mother, Ora Boyce, Burlingame; two brothers, Leland Boyce, Burlingame, and Jerry Boyce, Meriden; a sister, Donna Kern, Burlingame; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Burlingame Federated Church. Burial will be at Arvonia Cemetery north of Lebo. Mr. Boyce will lie in state after 4 p.m. Thursday at Carey Funeral Home in Burlingame, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Osage City Recreation Department or to Unified School District No. 244 Recreation Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
Harold Drinkwater
EMPORIA --- Harold W. Drinkwater, 83, Emporia, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at a Wichita hospital.
Mr. Drinkwater was a conductor for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway for 38 years before retiring in May 1980. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He was born March 22, 1920, in Cedar Point, to Myron Clark and Jessie Maree Harrison Drinkwater.
Mr. Drinkwater was a member of the United Transport Union, Ball- McColm Post No. 5 of the American Legion, First Congregational Church in Emporia and the Masonic Lodge in Florence and the Scottish Rite Bodies in Topeka.
He married Ola Rose Park on Nov. 15, 1942, in Emporia. She died Nov. 17, 1986. He married Violet Dicke on March 21, 1992, in Emporia. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jane McAdoo and Winifred Endly, both in Emporia; a stepdaughter, Carol Dexter, Emporia; two sisters, Alice Miller, Newton, and Lou Littler, Sterling; four grandchildren; three stepgrandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Burial with graveside military services conducted by a Fort Riley funeral detail will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery west of Cottonwood Falls. Masonic graveside services also will be conducted at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hand-In-Hand Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home.
Arthur Evans
JUNCTION CITY --- Arthur Charles Evans, 76, Junction City, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at a Topeka hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Junction City. Burial will be at Fort Riley Cemetery at Fort Riley. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Junction City.

Beulah Floyd
HERINGTON --- Beulah D. Floyd, 92, Herington, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at a Herington care home.
Mrs. Floyd and her husband farmed east of Herington for many years. She also had been a cook for restaurants and she had worked in the warehouse at Fort Riley.
She was born March 9, 1911, in Healy, to Charles and Ora Mae Hall Adam. She lived most her life in Herington.
