New general manager of Golden Eagle Casino named --- Dan Sine, of Red Wing, Minn., was selected the new general manager of the Golden Eagle Casino, Horton, by the Kickapoo Tribe In Kansas. Sine brings an extensive background of working with business and gaming in all aspects of operations. He was the manager of the Ho-Chunk Casino in Baraboo, Wis. Sine is a member of the Ho-Chunk Tribe.

He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in economics. He also holds four master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Oklahoma. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Air Force.

Aveda stylist returns to Topeka --- Carrie Vogel has returned to Topeka and will offer hair and makeup services at 19th St. Salon & Spa, an Aveda Concept Salon & Spa. Vogel previously worked with other Aveda Concept Salon & spas.

Roe new executive director --- Robert E. Roe is the new executive director for Topeka Habitat for Humanity, International. Roe retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 33 years of service in 1991.

He and his wife, Shan, returned to Topeka after their retirement in Akron, Ohio.

Transmission services offered ---Kevin Ottlinger opened Cottman Transmission, 801 S.W. 6th, on Sept. 15.

Ottlinger has a bachelor's degree in business marketing from Kansas State University and was employed for 15 years at Payless ShoeSource. Cottman's specializes in transmission service and repair.

Brant joins CNB --- David Brant, former Kansas securities commissioner, has joined Central National Bank as senior vice president and risk management officer. Brant's responsibilities for the bank include risk management, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

He served as the securities commissioner of Kansas from 1996 to 2003 and chaired the Governor's School Finance Task Force from 2000- 02.

Brant and his wife, Deba, live in Topeka and have three children.

Business changes name --- Computech Service, a local company specializing in computer and technology products and services, has changed its name to Integrated Solutions Group. ISG Technology Inc., Computech's parent company, owns seven computer technology facilities in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, all doing business as Integrated Solutions Group. The Topeka location has been in business since 1985.

Image Plus adds nail tech --- Liz Fisher joins Michelle Warnow and the team at Image Plus Salon, 4113 S.W. Gage Center Drive.

Fisher is a graduate of Community College of Cosmetology. Fisher also is an Arbonne independent consultant. She and her husband, Steven, have two children.

Editor in chief named --- Richard Backus has been named editor in chief of Ogden Publications' Farm Collectibles Group, including Farm Collector magazine, Gas Engine Magazine, Steam Traction magazine and The Farm Collector Show Directory. He will continue as editor of Gas Engine Magazine and Steam Traction. He and his wife, Maggie, live in Lawrence with their two children.

Darrah Buren, of Lawrence, is the new assistant editor at GRIT magazine, in Lawrence.

Andrew Humphrey, of Lawrence, has been named assistant editor at CAPPER'S magazine.

TJCF makes staff changes ---Jasen Dennis and Luka Henderson were appointed juvenile corrections officer I's on Sept. 22 at the Topeka Juvenile Correctional Facility.

Michael Mefferd was appointed as an activity therapy technician July 7.

Melissa Harris was appointed office assistant in the records department Aug. 4. She has an associate's degree of insurance services.

Stephanie McIver was appointed juvenile corrections officer I on June 30. She has a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice studies and a minor in sociology.

Todd Haug was appointed as a juvenile corrections officer I. Haug has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a minor in sociology from Washburn University.

He served one year in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Escobar completes training --- Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Gregorio T. Escobar has been assigned to Clark County after completing a 22-week basic law enforcement course at the patrol's training academy in Salina.

Prior to becoming a trooper, Escobar served the patrol as a Capital area guard. He also was employed by the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office for Alcohol Beverage Control.

Sannan new service desk manager --- Yancy Sannan has been named service desk manager and outdoor activities coordinator for Wood Valley Racquet Club and Fitness Center, 2909 S.W. 37th. Sannan has been employed at Wood Valley for six years.

He received a bachelor's degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports facility management from Washburn University.

Sannan and his wife, Jennifer, have one daughter.

Magee promoted --- Julie Magee has been promoted to senior stylist at JC Penney Styling Salon, West Ridge Mall.

Magee is certified for the CHI transformation system, a permanent straightening process, and completed ongoing Matrix education for color trends and cuts. She also has received awards for outstanding customer service.
