Don Felt and Karen Bledsoe were named Express Personnel Services Associates of the Month for April and May, respectively.
Felt has been employed at Express Personnel Services since January 2004. His responsibilities include set-up, preparation, serving and clean-up for banquets at a local hotel. Felt lives in Topeka.
Bledsoe has worked for the company since November 2003. She performs various clerical duties for client companies and receives excellent reviews on her assignments. Bledsoe is a graduate of Washburn University.
Terri Janda, the corporate nurse coordinator for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, earned board certification as a certified occupational health nurse specialist.
There are fewer than 40 COHN-S nurses in Kansas, according to the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses Inc., the organization that conducts the board certification. The certification process requires extensive continuing education and experience, and the completion of a highly competitive national examination.
Janda has worked for BCBS for nearly 11 years and has served as the coordinator for the company's corporate nursing department for seven years.
She has a bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Mary of the Plains College. Janda is a member of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses and she is on the advisory board for the Shawnee County Medical Reserve Corps.
Janda lives in Topeka with her husband, Chip, and their three children.
