The bride-elect is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School and Community College of Cosmetology in Topeka. She is employed at Capelli Hair and Nail Salon in Topeka.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Shawnee Heights High School. He is a journeyman lineman for Parr Electric Contractors in Topeka.

They plan to wed on Sept. 17, 2004, at the pergola in Ensley Botanical Gardens at Lake Shawnee.

The future groom is a graduate of Emporia High School and attended Baker University in Baldwin City. He is a graduate of Emporia State University with a bachelor's degree in business management. He is a business sales specialist for Burch Telecom.

A Sept. 4, 2004, wedding at Old Mission United Methodist Church in Fairway is planned.
