One of Christian rock's top groups of the early 1990s, PFR is back together for "The Bookhouse Recordings" (Fuseic Music, 10 songs, 36 minutes).

In addition to remakes of some of its most popular tunes, such as "Pray for Rain," "Great Lengths" and "Wonder Why," the group proves it still has what it takes on new songs "In the Middle," "Home" and "A Prayer for Beslan."

Ann Spangler takes 26 of the most popular Hebrew names for God and shows readers how to pray them for specific gifts, such as mercy, protection and blessing, in "Praying the Names of God" (Zondervan, hardcover, 333 pages, $16.99).

The book offers six months of devotions by offering readers a chance to enter a program of prayer and study.

Eli Jaxon-Bear identifies personal spiritual awakening as the next evolutionary step for humankind in his new book, "Sudden Awakening Into Direct Realization" (HJ Kramer, softcover, 157 pages, $12.99).

After years spent practicing Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, Jaxon-Bear offers a guide designed to help spiritual seekers take another step toward self-realization.
