This circa 1850 daguerreotype portrait is one of more than 50 works in a survey of the history of photography in the just-opened exhibit, "Daguerreotype to Digital: Photographs from the Collection," which is on display through July 22 at the Spencer Museum of Art on the campus of The University of Kansas.
