Army National Guard

Col. Jose R. Davis, of Junction City, was promoted to colonel on May 2. He is a graduate of St. Xavier's High School.

Staff Sgt. Martin E. Pittier, of Topeka, was presented with the Kansas National Guard Achievement Ribbon at the Kansas National Guard Hutchinson Armory on April 28. He is a 1980 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest.

Army Reserves

Pvt. Justin R. Allen, of Holton, has graduated from the automated logistical specialist advanced individual training course at Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va. He is a 2005 graduate of Jackson Heights High School.

Pvt. Troy J. Dean has graduated from basic combat military training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is a 2004 graduate of Silver Lake High School.

Pvt. Jessica R. Wishkeno, of Horton, has graduated from the ammunition specialist advanced individual training course at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala. She is a 2004 graduate of Kickapoo Nation School.

Cadet Katherine M. Cain, of Topeka, has received the George C. Marshall Award during an awards ceremony at the Marshall Center in Lexington, Va. She is a 2002 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School.

Pvt. Chad M. Logan, of Topeka, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2005 graduate of Hayden High School.

Pvt. David L. Neal has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2005 graduate of Manhattan High School.

Navy

Petty Officer Rebecca P. Vinlove, of Topeka, is on a scheduled deployment to the Coast Guard Cutter Morganthau, home-ported in Alameda, Calif. She is a 1990 graduate of McLouth High School.

Marines

Lance Cpl. Jason J. Morrison was awarded a Certificate of Commendation. He is a 2001 graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School.
