NEW FACES

Savitri Manda, M.D., has joined the staff at Cotton-O'Neil Clinic North, 1130 N. Kansas Ave. Manda received her medical degree from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, India, and completed a clinical internship at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento. She then completed a family medicine residency at The University of Kansas Hospital and is board certified in family medicine.

Frisco R. Morse, D.O., has joined the Stormont-Vail Hospitalist Program. Morse received his osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Most recently, Morse was attending physician in an internal medicine practice affiliated with Cambridge Medical Center, in Cambridge, Minn. David E. Pierce, professor of law, has been named director of the Business and Transactional Law Center at Washburn University School of Law. Pierce succeeds Steven Ramirez, who has joined the faculty at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Pierce received a juris doctor from Washburn University School of Law and earned a master's of law at the University of Utah. Pierce was a solo practitioner in Neodesha and city attorney for Cherryvale and worked as an oil and gas attorney for Shell Oil Co.

RETIREMENT

Joan Holman retired Oct. 3 from the U.S. Postal Service with 26 years of federal service. Holman was a supervisor of maintenance operations at the Topeka Processing and Distribution Facility.
