OSU coach gives props to pops

Eddie Sutton, above, joined the 800-win club over the weekend when his San Francisco team rallied to win at Pepperdine.
The victory enabled Sutton to join Bob Knight, Dean Smith, Adolph Rupp and Jim Phelan as coaches to achieve the milestone, and it merited a congratulatory call from his son, Sean, the Oklahoma State coach.
"That was a big milestone he hoped to achieve and really wanted, and it might have been even more special coming from 19 (points) down" Sean Sutton said. "He said he was relieved to get it over with. He'd gotten a lot of calls and he was excited, and we were excited and happy for him."
