Hodgson Russ partners active in Bar Assn. of Erie County committees

Garry Graber, Mary Catherine Malley and Jeffrey Stone - all three partners at Hodgson Russ - will serve as committee chairs for the 2003-04 Bar Association of Erie County membership year.

Heading up the BAEC By-Laws Committee, Graber, chairs the Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation practice group in the firm's Buffalo office. He is also a member of the International/Cross Border practice group. He has been active in the Ontario Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association, in addition to serving in a leadership role in the Turnaround Management Association's Upstate New York and Toronto Chapters.

Earning both his undergraduate degree and law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Graber has more than a decade of experience as an adjunct professor at UB's Law School. He is a past president of the BAEC and the Volunteer Lawyers Project, Inc. in addition to serving on various New York State Bar Association committees.

The BAEC Corporation Law Committee will be chaired by Malley, a partner in Hodgson and Russ's Corporate and Securities practice group. She concentrates her practice in securities law, including corporate and securities law compliance, public and private offerings, executive compensation and related business matters. She previously served as an attorney-advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and for Shearman & Sterling's Corporate Finance Department.

Earning her finance degree from St. Mary's College, Malley completed her juris doctor degree at UB.

BAEC's Municipal and School Law Committee is to be chaired by Stone, who has extensive experience counseling cities, towns, village, school and fire districts along with industrial development agencies, underwriters, corporate trustees and other market participants on a wide range of general obligation, revenue bond and related financing. A member of the firm's Real Estate and Finance practice group, Stone acts as bond counsel for dozens of schools and municipalities in Western New York and throughout the state.

A graduate of the University of Rochester, Stone earned his law degree from the University of Michigan School of Law.
