NY's St. John Fisher College honors Thomas Trevett

At a reception this evening, St. John Fisher College will present its third annual Justinian Medal to Thomas Trevett.

Trevett, a partner at Trevett, Lenweaver & Salzer, is a 1964 graduate of St. John Fisher College. The Justinian Medal is awarded by the college and the Justinian Order, which is comprised of 333 judges and attorneys, all graduates of Fisher, to an alumnus who has made a significant contribution in time, talent and treasure to the legal profession, to the community and to the college.

Previous recipients include U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York Judge David Larimer, class of 1966 and New York State Supreme Court, Monroe County, Judge Francis Affronti, class of 1963.

Trevett received his J.D. from Albany Law School in 1967 and was admitted to the bar that same year. Since 1968 he has been associated with Trevett, Lenweaver & Salzer. He is a past president of both the Monroe County and Wayne County Bar Associations. He served as a member of the executive committee of the New York State Bar Association, is past chairman of McQuaid Jesuit High School Board of Trustees and the Rochester Area Multiple Sclerosis Society.

He and his wife Margaret have three children: Thomas, Monica and Millicent Bleck.

The Justinian Order of St. John Fisher College, formed in 2002, is an academic and legal society intended to create collegiality among Fisher graduates professionally involved in the law.
