Rochester-based Nixon Peabody LLP's Richard A. Marx receives

Richard A. Marx, a senior environmental engineer at Nixon Peabody LLP, recently received this year's Hugh E. Cummings Environmental Quality Award.
Marx has worked within the law firm's environmental practice group for nearly 20 years and is a co-founder of the Rochester Peregrine Falcon Project, which introduced falcons in Western New York and educates the community about falcons as an endangered species. He co-founded the New York River Otter Project Inc., which reintroduced the river otter to Central and Western New York, and also serves as a board member for the Genesee Land Trust, for which he donates services to support pre-acquisition due diligence.
The Cummings Award is presented annually by the Rochester-based Center for Environmental Information to an individual, group or organization that has made a significant contribution to environmental protection, improvement or education in the Rochester- Genesee-Finger Lakes region.
Marx is a resident of Prattsburgh.
