Background: The plaintiff's application for SSI benefits was denied andan action followed. The plaintiff, a 44-year-old former clerk, cashier and license clerk,claimed disability since Dec. 27, 1999, due to depression, poor leg circulation, back pain and leg pain. On several previous occasions, the plaintiff applied for Social Security Disability Benefits and was denied. Both parties moved for judgment on the pleadings. The ALJ found the plaintiff has the residual functional capacity to perform sedentary work such as a being a dowel inspector or office helper.

Ruling: The ALJ's decision was supported by the evidence. The plaintiff's impairments mostly are controlled through medication. The defendant's motion is granted.
