Drug Court commissioner
Nineteen applicants seek the Jackson County drug court commissioner vacancy.
The deadline to apply was Friday afternoon, and interviews will be conducted today.
The position opened when former commissioner Brian Wimes was appointed to the circuit bench last month. Wimes had been drug court commissioner since 2001.
Wimes will continue to handle the drug court docket until his replacement is appointed.
He said last week that he hoped to take the bench in Division 18 on Sept. 10.
