Nursing home wins biggest SBA loan

Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), Aug 14, 1996 by Special to The Journal Record

COMANCHE -- Wilson Nursing Home Corp. has received the largest Small Business Administration loan in Oklahoma during the current fiscal year.

The nursing home used the $1.25 million loan to purchase the real estate that is housing its 90-bed Comanche Nursing Home.

The purchase price was $1.6 million and the seller was Comanche Nursing Center. The sale was handled by Silba Realty.

The loan was the largest in volume for the state this year, said David Brown, of the Oklahoma SBA. The financing was provided by The Money Store Investment Corp. and was facilitated by Randy Lacey, business development officer in Oklahoma City for The Money Store.

Bill and Melody Wilson, owners of Wilson Nursing Home Corp., took out a lease-purchase for the property four years ago and decided to exercise the option to buy the facility. The Wilsons also own a nursing home in Chickasha.
