PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (Bloomberg) -- Intel expects Internet commerce to top $1 trillion by 2002, as a billion personal computers hook up to the global computer network. Internet commerce this year is expected to reach about $68 billion, according to the market researcher International Data. IDC predicted that half of all online households will buy goods via the Internet this year, up from 37 percent last year.
