Communication Federal Credit Union relocates branch to SW 89th Street

Communication Federal Credit Union opened a new branch Monday at 520 SW 89th St., west of Walker. The branch was formerly located at 916 Straka Terrace.

Canadian State Bank

Tim Holt has joined Canadian State Bank of Yukon as senior vice president and commercial loan officer. He has 13 years experience in the banking industry working in both operations and lending areas. Holt managed a $13 million portfolio at Arvest United Bank before joining Canadian State Bank.

Bank of Oklahoma

Patrick Karry was promoted to vice president and manager of business development. He was previously assistant vice president and has been with the bank since Aug. 1996.

MidFirst Bank

Melvin Gilliam has been hired to the position of vice president and director of community investment. He will oversee the bank's compliance with the federal Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) in each Oklahoma community MidFirst serves. His responsibilities will include addressing consumer needs in the areas of home mortgages, small- business loans, and community development loans, with special emphasis placed on promoting the availability of credit and other banking services to underserved neighborhoods.

Gilliam also has been appointed to the MidFirst Bank Advisory Board of Directors, serving in an advisory capacity to the bank's management team in matters regarding business development, community involvement and service, and customer relations with the Tulsa area and with respect to the CRA in general. Prior to joining MidFirst, Gilliam served as the Tulsa market community reinvestment officer for another bank.

Sonya Evans has been named retail training coordinator. She will be responsible for training existing and new MidFirst employees in enhanced sales techniques, policies and procedures, and the technical aspects of their jobs. Evans joined the bank in 1985 and managed three Oklahoma City metro bank offices. Most recently she served as assistant vice president and manager of the bank's largest Oklahoma City office located at NW 63rd Street and N. MacArthur Boulevard. Evans also serves on the bank's Policy and Procedures Committee, and has assisted with the training of new employees during new bank openings, acquisitions, and other special projects.

Todd Wright has been hired as assistant vice president of commercial lending responsible for the business development and support of general commercial loans and deposits in the Oklahoma City metro area. Prior to joining MidFirst, he was a credit analyst and commercial lender for another Oklahoma bank. Most recently, Wright served as controller of Colony Petroleum, an Oklahoma City-based oil and gas firm.

Stillwater National Bank

More than 200 people from around the state and country attended a retirement celebration last month for Robert L. McCormick Jr. at Meditations in Stillwater.

He is retiring as chairman of the board of directors of Stillwater National Bank and Trust and Southwest Bancorp on Dec. 31. McCormick served as SNB's president and chief executive officer from 1970 through 1998, when he retired from that position. His successor as president and CEO is Rick Green, and his successor as chairman of the board will be Robert B. Rodgers.

Federal Reserve

The total dollar volume of checks cleared through the Federal Reserve Bank in Oklahoma City was $13.16 million in November.
